Look at the square below, it contains 9 boxes filled with the digits 1 to 9, but its main characteristic is that it is magic! The sum of the digits being reproduced on the lines, columns and of the two diagonals that pass through the center, is absolutely identical (in fact 15 with the digits 1 to 9). Using this same principle, can you build a magic square having 25 (5x5) or 49 boxes (7x7), or even more, with the digits and numbers from 1 to 25 or 49, and better still?
